October is already a spooky month with Halloween taking place but our partner, Nextopia, proved how terrifying Halloween spending really is by sharing the numbers behind the holiday. This infographic shares how 157 million Americans participated in Halloween in 2015 with spending reaching approximately $6.9 billion on Halloween goods. That’s roughly $75 per person!

Another great read from October to get you ready for the upcoming holiday season is BigCommerce’s look-back at the best holiday campaigns from the last 150 years. They created a great infographic beginning with Macy’s Holiday Window Display in 1874 and going through some of the greatest holiday campaigns including Coca-Cola’s famous Father Christmas is 1931, Starbucks red cups in 1997, and going right up to REI’s #OptOutside campaign in 2015 when they pulled out of participating in Black Friday.
