Last weekend was one of the busiest weekends for retailers out of the entire year as the crazy discount days; Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Small Business Saturday, took over the retailing world. We analyzed the performance of our own independent retailers over the weekend starting from Thanksgiving on November 24th to Cyber Monday on November 28th.
The statistics are very interesting with the entire weekend up 45% in gross merchandise value (GMV) from last year. Black Friday saw the biggest increase with a +63%. Additionally, we found that average order value fell and Amazon is gaining revenue share from eBay.
