The annual Internet Retailing Expo is a great event for multichannel retailers of all industries to discover the latest trends and methods to accelerate their business. We exhibited (again!) this year and had a blast so we’ve picked our highlights from the two-day event.

Chris Dawson, co-founder and editor of TameBay, gave a great talk at the Flubit Marketplace Theatre on ‘What’s new with Amazon, eBay and marketplaces in 2016’.
Spreading his marketplace expertise, Chris shared the opportunities of selling on Amazon and eBay, but also the challenges retailers face when selling on these marketplaces. The talk also extended to what other marketplaces you should consider using in the UK and globally.
This talk took place twice and was overwhelmed with interest as the seats were full and attendees took to standing around the theatre in order to not miss out.
One of our favourite talks touched on the topic of importance for retailers to establish trust with consumers. It expressed how consumers will only shop with the brands they trust.

Soak and Sleep and Muddy Puddles support the importance of establishing trust and believe by using Amazon Payments, the recognised brand helps them increase trust and sales at checkout. Muddy Puddles has reduced drop-off rates by 40% through Pay with Amazon.
We loved Walter Blackwood’s talk on the relationship between clicks and bricks. He discussed the rise of click and collect, the retail and logistics challenges involved and how to ensure the multichannel customer experience works between online and offline channels.
Walter Blackwood is Former Director-Group Logistics at Mothercare. Coming from an impressive background of working with the British retail giant, Walter shared his expertise for retailers to conquer click and collect.

IRX 2016 was full of bright lights and flashy stands but who stood out the most? Here’s our pick of the top 4 exhibitors and why we thought they had the best stands! We’ve picked our overall favourite, best artwork, most visually pleasing and best design. See who made the cut…
Our favourite stand has to go to James and James Fulfilment due to not only having a great stand but also sponsoring the wonderful bar! There’s plenty of reasons to love this stand including the perfect location, bright lights, stand out colours, massive size, and last but definitely not least, the place where you can buy coffee!
Our newly announced partner, M2E, had great artwork on their stand full with stats (everyone loves stats!), easy-to-read information about what they do, great colours and a space theme that we love!
We loved the Visualsoft stand due to its interactive visual presence. It was filled with screens explaining what they do and showcasing their work in action including websites they’ve created. This stand was bound to attract a lot of attention!
The look of the Zendesk stand definitely caught our eyes as it stood out from the crowd with this natural and environmentally friendly feel! We love the simple and unique style of this stand!
We showcased our new and improved point-of-sale solution which is set to launch later this year. Our awesome customer, Bouncepad, supplied us with a professional iPad enclosure to get our demo POS looking its best and we demonstrated the soon-to-come solution straight to IRX visitors.
The new POS offers a seamless customer experience for multichannel retailers. It will be optimized for retailers of all sizes and will support click-and-collect, in-store orders for home delivery and the return of goods bought online.

We also had tonnes of free swag to giveaway including sunglasses, bottle openers, t-shirts, Brightpearl water. Our sunglasses were very popular and Katherine Bell from our partner, Nublue took a particular liking to the sunnies!
